Summary:

The Repair and Maintenance Lead will use their skills and experience in the trades to manage and inspire the team responsible for maintaining Basin Harbor’s buildings, systems, and infrastructure. While the resort is open, responding to ongoing issues related to a fast paced and high-volume operation take priority. In the off season, planning for and executing renovations and preventative maintenance are the focus. This individual will take an interest in learning about a complex resort property with an eye toward growing into a larger role with time and experience. This is a management role that requires hands on participation in the completion of tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supervise and oversee the work of all individuals on the Repair & Maintenance team including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, leading with professionalism and respect for all members of the Basin Harbor staff.
  • Effectively disseminate work orders from multiple Basin Harbor departments, prioritizing completion based on operational need.
  • Ensure acceptable completion of all team work and follow up as needed.
  • Follow and enforce all company, and safety and security policies and procedures, and report all discovered problems.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Report daily to the Director of Engineering on the status of all scheduled maintenance work and as needed repairs, and notify the Director of unsightly, hazardous or otherwise unacceptable conditions with recommended solutions.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, development, and performance review.
  • Assist with procurement of supplies and contracting services as needed to adhere to budgetary guidelines.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Have the stamina to work up to 10+ hours: sitting, standing and walking.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 70bs, reach overhead and perform repetitive motion, walking between venues and climbing stairs between floors.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
