Summary:

The Shuttle Driver’s primary responsibility is to provide off-property transportation for our residential staff; to appointments, for shopping, or for local events. The Shuttle Driver should be a professional, welcoming representative of the resort. In many cases, the Shuttle Driver is a new employee’s first face-to-face encounter with Basin Harbor.  This is an on-call, as needed position, housing is not available.

• Drive BH vehicle to Burlington International Airport, Vergennes or Port Henry NY Amtrak, or Burlington Transit Center to pick up or drop off arriving or departing employees. This will occur according to flight or bus schedules and may involve early morning or late night trips. At the beginning and end of our season, multiple same day trips are likely.
• Drive BH vehicle to appointments or other scheduled events as needed according to a shuttle schedule created by Human Resources.
• Be available on short notice for emergency transportation.
• Keep BH vehicle clean, and report any mechanical issues to Human Resources and to Mechanic
• Ensure that BH vehicle is fueled up before and after use if possible. Basin Harbor has fueling facilities on property.

Essential Qualifications and Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Familiarity with Outlook Calendar
• Minimum of high school diploma
• The ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and prioritize sometimes conflicting needs
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check
• Our insurance policies require that employees who drive Basin Harbor vehicles be at least 21 years of age.
